If you chose not to purchase the insurance, we will not be responsible for any issues after we ship out the order. As a FYI, we do not use FedEx's insurance. We have found thru experience that if something happens, it takes way too long to file, have FedEx investigate and then they do not always pay out the claim. In the mean time, the customer is not happy for all the hassle and the long wait. If the customer is not happy, then neither are we. Also, FedEx's insurance does not cover items that do not show physical damage. The insurance we now use is great. If the scales arrive dead, it is covered.
