The standard ER8 has only 3 amp capability. There are about 15 different mfgs of this relay (Aromat JS1 Series or equiv). The 50 pin and 26 pin control connectors are compatable with the standard NI DIO-24 and 26 pin input. There are pullups for ULN2803 driver chip and activation LEDs to display each relay's state. Another feature of the ER8-DIO16 is the input power. A full wave bridge rectifier allows the power input to be AC or DC. It also prevents you from miss wiring the polarity of the input voltage. (a vary common error for DC). The power input also has a 1 amp fuse, a power indicator Led, a 2.1mm wall wart plug and 2 screw terminals for direct connect. QTY 16 digital inputs with pullups The biggest feature of the ER8-DIO16 is the variety of ways that the unit can be controlled when fully populated. The board is designed for additional parts to be added . The DIO16 Kit for adding 16 digital IO points with pullups and pcb 5mm screw terminals is included but the 8051 derivative MICRO KIT for RS232 control, I2C control, or direct control. The micro and the real time clock and eeprom are not included.
